As the family burger franchise expands, it appears the cast of A&E's The Wahlburgers will be as well when the show returns for its second season.

Donnie Wahlberg & Jenny McCarthy Engaged

According to Extra, Jim Wahlberg, one of the older Wahlberg brothers, will be joining the cast of the show when it returns for season 2. The show already features brothers Paul, Donnie and Mark, and the family matriarch Alma, as they all share input into how to run the family burger joint, Wahlburgers.

Jim, who according to his Twitter page is a film producer and the executive director of the Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation, just ran in Monday's Boston Marathon alongside Donnie's New Kids on the Block bandmates Danny Wood and Joey McIntyre. To support all three, Donnie was present at the race.

Jenny McCarthy Gets A Burger Named After Her On 'Wahlburgers?'

While there, Donnie spoke with Extra about his recent engagement to Jenny McCarthy, and revealed that he had been planning to propose to her for quite some time.

"I probably planned it about two months into us dating, but things take time and I just waited until the moment was right," he said.

He also revealed that he didn't think McCarthy was too surprised by the proposal and probably knew it was coming.

"I don't know if it was a surprise...it might've been a race because she kept threatening to propose to me. Not to make me do it, she just wanted to get engaged, so I did it first. I'm a little old-fashioned. I wasn't going to let her get on one knee," he said.

It is unclear if McCarthy will also be joining the cast of the family's hit reality series, though she did make an appearance in the second episode of the show's first season, and had a burger at the restaurant named after her.
