In a recent interview, Michael Bay compares the new kickstart to the Transformers franchise with Age of Extinction the the Batman movies.

According to a report by 3News, the director suggested that the film would be "fresher" with a new cast and a new take.

"It's like when you get the new Batman franchises," Bay said. "Things get dressed up in a different way. I think the franchise still has a lot more to offer."

Bay has helmed the Transformers franchise since 2007 and it seems like there is no stopping him as he is on to something of a trilogy with Age of Extinction according to previous reports. The director, who is editing the film now, also spoke about keeping his composure while taking on these mega-productions and keeping his team going under the pressure.

"When all is said and done maybe 3500 people will have worked on this movie," he said. "It's one day at a time. You can't panic. My pep talk to everyone is: This is when the pro shit starts and separates the men from the boys."

New Transformers Species, Cross Between Autobots and Dinobots, on Mysterious Mission Revealed?

Jack Reynor is the male lead of the film and will be playing a race car driver. Peltz acts as Reynor's girlfriend in the film. Kelsey Grammer will be playing the role of Harold Attinger, a counter-intelligence agent who is the main antagonist in the film.

Transformers: Age of Extinction will hit theaters on June 27, 2014.
