As filming for the fifth in the iconic sci-fi franchise begins, new reports suggest that Terminator: Genesis might not be the final title.

What We Know About the Plot and New Twists So Far

The rumors have surfaced since a picture of the official clapboard from the set was revealed. It read Vista, with directing credits given to Alan Taylor and camera credits to Kramer Morgenthau. The image was posted on Skydance's Facebook page. This has gotten the press speculating about the title, and wondering if Genesis is set to be replaced with Vista.

Pre-production for filming was scheduled to begin in New Orleans on April 21.

Terminator 5 to Compete with Avengers 2: Age of Ultron and Jurassic Park 4? 

The film stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, who will be reprising his role as the cyborg, and Emilia Clarke, who has been cast for the part of Sarah Connor, have filmed in New Orleans in the past.

Schwarzenegger has filmed in New Orleans for Escape Plan and Clarke shot for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes in the state.

Pre-production will begin with principal photography, which will take place from April 21 to Aug. 1.

Jason Clarke will play the part of John Connor and Jay Courtney will play Kyle Reese.

The director of the film, Alan Taylor, had previously suggested that his inspirations for the reboot were derived from the Batman series.

James Cameron Disses Terminator 3 and 4; Will Cast Arnold Schwarzenegger in Avatar Sequel? 

Taylor spoke about how much he loved the first two films in the Terminator franchise.

"We all love the first two and I actually went back and watched them again and my respect level only went up for those first two," he said of The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgement Day.

The director went on to speak of a similar franchise being an inspiration for the fifth Terminator, suggesting that two films in the Batman franchise were "wonderful."

Terminator 5 is scheduled to release in July 2015.
