The first half of Mad Men's final season is off to a running start. While last week's episode was said to be a "jaw dropper," some may consider the upcoming installment to be a "trip." Sunday, April 27, the AMC period drama returns with an all-new episode 3, Field Trip, and a few surprises, to boot.

'Mad Men' Creator Matthew Weiner Finally Shares Episode Spoilers?

For the first time this season, Betty Francis, the former Mrs. Draper, will make an appearance. However, apparently she is not there to see Don Draper, but rather a "friend." Meanwhile, Don has been making a few power moves lately, but on the upcoming episode he suddenly heads out of town on a "trip."

On the season 7 premiere, Draper took a trip to Los Angeles to spend a few days with his wife, Megan, and to chat with Pete Campbell. Recently, he has been displaying a more noble side of himself, as he turned down a woman offering to romance him for the night, after his return flight to New York. Plus, on the last episode, A Day's Work, he told his daughter the truth about what happened with his job at Sterling Cooper & Partners (SC&P).

Moreover, a brief synopsis for Field Trip reads: "Don takes an impromptu trip. Betty has lunch with a friend. Harry lobbies for a cause. The partners consider a questionable asset." What's more, SC&P executives Joan Holloway and Jim Cutler are also said to appear on this Sunday's episode, and are "handling the problems of the day."
