Downton Abbey is about to return to television, and new photos of the next season have been unveiled.

Lady Mary To Find A New Romance?

On Wednesday, Daily Mail posted new pictures of Violet Crawley (Maggie Smith) in costume alongside Isobel Crawley (Penelope Wilton) looking old-fashioned and elegant as they stand in character.

Violet is seen wearing a long maroon coat with a matching hat and feathers as Isobel stands in a grey-black coat, giving a serious yet thoughtful expression.

Lady Mary To Confess Something To Anna?

Other characters from the series can also be seen, including Baxter (Raquel Cassidy) and Thomas Barrow (Robert James-Collier). The two are captured together going for a walk in the rain as Thomas wears a black hat and a nice suit as he holds an umbrella. It's unclear what kind of moment he and Baxter are having because in some shots, they look expressionless, but in another shot, Thomas has a slight grin on his face.

More photos from the next were released on Mirror on Thursday that show Lady Mary (Michelle Dockery) having her own share of dramatic scenes as well. She is seen in a fancy purple outfit with her hands clasped together and gives the look of a classy British woman.

There was a recent rumor from IOL that Oscar-winning actress Sandra Bullock could make an appearance on the series since she's a huge fan, and might be looking into a place to live near the set. But nothing official has been made on that part yet.

Downton Abbey Season 5 is expected to premiere in January 2015 on PBS.
