Back in the day, before Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux, Jennifer Aniston had a whirl-wind romance with Charlie Schlatter, her co-star on Ferris Bueller, the short-lived NBC spin-off of the cult classic film.

Schlatter played the title role (made famous by Matthew Broderick in the movie) and the future Friends A-list superstar played his sister Jeanie (made famous by Jennifer Grey in the film).

GQ Editor-in-Chief Jim Nelson, who at the time was a comedy writer's assistant on the show, revealed in the May issue of his magazine that the two had a "brief, torrid" romance during the show's 13-episode run. (It was cancelled mid-season). Reported Us Weekly Monday:

"To Aniston worshippers, I can offer little dirt," Nelson writes of the now 45-year-old Cake actress. "She was lovely, kept to herself on the set, smoldering a bit like her outraged character, 17-year-old Jeannie Bueller. She was a brunette then, with none of Rachel Green's bob or self-possession," he adds, referring to Rachel Greene on Friends.

The one bit of gossip he can offer is about her love life. "GQ can exclusively report that everyone on set thought she was hot, including Schlatter, with whom she had a brief, torrid romance-while playing, it must be said, his older sister," Nelson said of the co-stars. "To we immaturions on the show, this seemed extra-hot. Like performative incest."

Alas, the performative incest was not to be as Schlatter, 47, found Colleen Gunderson, whom he married and had three children with. Aniston famously found new "Friends", found Pitt, lost Pitt to Angelina Jolie, and now is engaged to Theroux, with whom she appeared in Wanderlust.  She is currently filming the film Cake.
