The official synopsis for the finale of The Good Wife was leaked on April 29 and it seems like Alicia (Julianna Margulies) and Cary (Matt Czuchry) are headed for some major trouble.

As the fifth season of the CBS legal drama is nearing to its end, the eagerness to know how this chapter of the show will conclude itself is peaking. The synopsis for episode 22, which is the finale, suggests that Lockhart/Gardner is going to be working a strategy to harm Florrick/Agos.

In some way, this also starts feel like betrayal, as Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) was warming up to the idea of a merger between the two firms and had gotten friendly with Alicia again. Perhaps it's not Diane that's pulling the devious strings and it is none other that Lockhart/Gardner's new partner Louis Canning (Michael J. Fox), who has been causing trouble for the firm. He also sniffed out the talk of a merger in the last episode.

Alicia's "Fun Chemistry" With Finn Polmar to Lead to an Affair?

"An open feed from a camera mistakenly left on after a teleconferenced deposition between the lawyers of Florrick/Agos and Lockhart/Gardner reveals a threat to the firm that Alicia and Cary never saw coming. Meanwhile, the fate of Lockhart/Gardner hangs in the balance as Louis Canning views for a larger role. Also, Alicia entrusts Zach's high school graduation party to Jackie and Veronica, on the fifth season finale of The Good Wife."

The next episode, titled The Deep Web will air on CBS at 9 p.m. on May 4.
