With the official cast announcement for Star Wars: Episode VII being released, the inclusion of Harrison Ford's name may not spell good things for the actor's other famous movie franchise, Indiana Jones.

Bradley Cooper Replacing Harrison Ford Rumors

Ford is officially reprising his role as Han Solo in the new Star Wars film, slated for release in December of 2015, according to the official announcement on Starwars.com. And in an April 28 report from Deadline, not only is Harrison starring in the film, but his role is expected to be huge.

"The big surprise...is that Ford has a gigantic role in the first of the next three films," the report states.

Harrison Ford Says 'Indiana Jones' Was a 'Fun Character To Play?'

If Ford is slated to have a large role in the new Star Wars movies, it could spell trouble for his reported return to the still rumored (and as-of-yet unconfirmed) Indiana Jones 5. It was reported back in March that Disney was considering rebooting the franchise and replacing Ford, who is 71, with Bradley Cooper, though the rumors were denied.

Now, if Ford isn't signing up for the Indiana Jones franchise, he could be replaced after all.

However, reports circulated in February that Ford wasn't willing to sign on to play Han Solo again unless Disney would let him be contracted again for not only Indiana Jones 5, but a sixth film as well.

"Regarding Harrison Ford, two more Indiana Jones features are in the negotiation stages as per Ford's contract clause on Star Wars, which is the primary reason he didn't 'publicly' or 'privately' commit, or so I'm told," a source told MarketSaw back in February.

If Ford refused to sign on to Star Wars until he had worked out a separate deal for the Indiana Jones franchise, fans could potentially expect an announcement for the film soon.
