Actor Jason Momoa has reportedly signed on to play a character in Man of Steel 2, though it is currently unclear who he will be playing.

Momoa, who may be most famous for playing Khal Drogo on Game of Thrones, has been rumored to be cast in Man of Steel 2 for several months, but an agreement may have officially been made already.

"According to my source, Momoa signed the dotted line and joined the Batman vs. Superman cast a couple of months ago," said Batman-News in a new report this week. "There's no word yet on who Momoa will be playing, but previous rumors have tied him to Aquaman. I'm labeling this as a rumor for now, but I feel that this information is accurate based on who I got it from."

Momoa has been one of many actors rumored to be playing Aquaman in the film. Much of the Justice League is said to be appearing in Man of Steel 2 as a teaser for the Justice League movie set for release in 2018.

So far, Man of Steel 2 has an all-star cast that includes Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White and Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce Wayne's butler. Holly Hunter is also expect to star as a "female Alfred" type of character.


Man of Steel 2 is scheduled for release in theaters on May 6, 2016.
