Pop star Katy Perry is currently rumored to be dating her good friend DJ Diplo, and now it's getting to the point where she may end up meeting his mother, who happened to have a lot to say about the singer.

On Wednesday, Mirror posted the statements from Diplo's mom, Barbara Pentz, who spoke of her son and how he's been keeping his love life private.

"He hasn't mentioned bringing her home to mama just yet," she told Radar Online. "But I think he would before it gets serious."

"Of course, she's got to be grilled by the mom!" she added.

Pentz also revealed that her son hasn't been telling her much, but the dad knows more information. But apparently, there's nothing too serious going on.

"He hasn't discussed it with me, but he did with his dad," Pentz said. "He said, 'we're just hanging out. We're just friends right now.'"

Despite not too much going on in the rumored relationship, there might be a chance it could become serious someday.

"I don't think it's big deal right now," the DJ's mother said. "I don't think they'll be wedding bells yet."

Pentz supposedly has a theory that there might be some sort of secret going on with her son and the Birthday singer if it's all just for attention from the media.

"I wondered if it was a publicity stunt," she said. "It did occur to me. They both do like the cameras."

Pentz added that Perry "seems like a lovely girl."
