This past year has been a whirlwind for Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss. The mother-turned-mogul planned a wedding, got married, ignored the nay-sayers, executed a new play, filmed a season without (much) violence and still found time to stay true to exactly who she was. However, it has not been easy.

REWIND: Kandi Burruss Talks Details of Her Wedding Before it Happened!

In a new Enstars Exclusive, the music maven discussed her new play, A Mother's Love, and life after being married on an invite-only conference call on Thursday. To say she is a busy woman, is an understatement. However, if she had her way, she would like to remain as under the radar as possible, as she appears somewhere on television every week.

"Before I was ever on Housewives, people didn't know that I had anything and I liked it that way. I would rather be the underdog, I feel like people relate to the person who is more humble... I don't even like the title of what a rich b-tch is, they can keep that title."

Mama Joyce Talks How She Feels, Post-Wedding

Though most reality stars, especially her cast mate Nene Leakes, flaunt their money and belongings to perpetuate their levels of status, Kandi believes in doing the opposite, and using her on-air time to promote her projects, just as she did with her highly-anticipated play, A Mother's Love.

For those of you who missed out this season, she and Mama Joyce often argued over her choice to be with her now-husband Todd Tucker. Mama Joyce, who confirmed on last Sunday night's reunion episode that she is "waiting for her peach," was met with disapproval from many fans who thought she was being too controlling.

But, in true Kandi fashion, she overcame all of the drama and made money while doing it. Her play, which packed in audiences for five different shows and proved that Porsha Williams is actually talented, is now going to go on a national tour. With her music career, sex toy line, boutiques, and filming, she is often compared to Tyler Perry- who was in the audience of one her shows.

"I was so excited that he showed up!" she beamed. "He is one of the people that I look up to, and if I could accomplish even a little piece of what he's already done, that would be big for me."

Last month, she walked down the aisle at her beautiful Atlanta wedding, which Bravo caught on tape. This week, the network announced that the air date would be June 1, at 8/9c. Yes, Mama Joyce attended, but not without a fight, according to the recently released clip.

So, how are things after the Coming to America- inspired wedding? According to the former Xscape singer, things are not as easy as she hoped. "He is producing a show now and it is being taped in L.A. and now, we've gone straight into being married and having a long-distance relationship."

But, for all that she has been through, the back and forth flights from Atlanta to Los Angeles are completely worth it because at the end of the day, "That's marriage... I love being Mrs. Tucker."
