Days after Fox made the controversial decision to cancel Almost Human after one season, fans have expressed their outrage through various platforms.

Fox announced Tuesday that Almost Human would not be renewed for the new TV season, causing many of the show's fans to revolt.

"No Fair! How can they cancel such a great show? Stop cancelling the shows I like!" said one fan, Lora Dobos Frikken, on the show's official Facebook page. Another fan, Tracy Lee White, said, "So sorry about the cancellation. It shouldn't have happened! I thought the show was brilliant and I really hope another network picks it up!"

There is such outrage over the decision that a fan has made a petition on change.org to move the show to the Syfy Network for season 2.

"We (the petitioners) are asking for the Syfy Network to save the series from certain demise by taking it over," the petition reads. "Almost Human has already gained hordes of loyal fans around the world that are currently fighting to save a series they can easily relate and find joy in. The series has much potential and needs individuals to believe and share that passion. We are asking that Syfy see the potential for this series, and allow it to become something great with the network."

The campaign has over 6,000 signatures as of May 1.

The decision to cancel the show has been largely criticized by fans, and could be considered surprising given its ratings. While it was not anywhere near the top 10 shows on television in ratings, it averaged around 5.5 million viewers per week, which is better than other Fox shows like Glee, New Girl and The Mindy Project, all of which have been getting between two and three million viewers per week. All three of those series will be returning for new seasons.

However, Fox has a plan to debut three new dramas in the 2014-2015 TV season, according to Deadline, the highly buzzed Gotham, The Red Band Society and Empire.
