Jessica Simpson will soon tie the knot with fiancé Eric Johnson and the singer is busy planning the massive affair.

"I've been very picky on how I want everything to look and feel," she told USA Today. "[But] we are very close to sending out our invites."

The ceremony, she said, will be a "big event," adding, "Eric's family alone is almost 90 people!"

Simpson, 32, and the former NFL player, 34, became engaged in 2010. In the years that followed they had two children -- Maxwell, 2, and Ace, 11 months.

The singer and fashion designer previously revealed that her upcoming wedding was great motivation to get into shape. And that she did. Simpson has lost a significant amount of weight with the help of Weight Watchers' two-week Simple Start program. Back in March, she revealed that she even reached her initial weight loss goal.

Simpson also said that her children were another reason she felt the need to shed the pounds she gained during her pregnancies.

"As a mom, I just have this confidence and I just feel so proud of what I've done and what I've accomplished," Simpson said when she visited Good Morning America in January. "And I really do also feel this need to just be the best role model for my children... I want [Maxwell] to look up to me and want to be like me."
