This year, Hollywood's stars and starlets were glammed up for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's annual Costume Institute Gala also known as The Met Gala. 2014 celebrated "Charles James: Beyond Fashion" on Cinco Day Mayo for Manhatten's biggest night in fashion.

Look Back: Beyonce Dressed To Impress At 2013 Met Gala

Today's The Guardian dished on The Best and Worst Dressed of these A-Listers.

Best Dressed

Stella McCartney's Midriffs were all the rage last night!

Rihanna bared her toned midriff in a snow white Stella McCartney skirt and halter top.

Model Cara Delevingne ditched the gowns for black and white pants, heels and crop top, Delevingne also in a McCartney.

And who new hot pink could make such an entrance? Emma Stone wore two toned pinks in a Thakoon dress that bared her lovely midriff. Sport, sassy, funky.

Beyonce and her man Jay-Z looked fierce and dramatic. Beyonce wore a striking Givenchy dress and dramatic red lip. She capped it with a 1920's netting on her sleek hair.

Kim Kardashian dazzled in midnight blue Lanvin dress and Lorrain Schwartz jewelry. Her post baby body is banging, as hubby-to-be Kanye West would agree.

Giselle Bundchen was all old Hollywood glamour in a black Balenciaga.

Selena Gomez was all grown up in a beautiful burgundy slinky number from Diane Von Furstenberg, Lorrain Schwartz jewels to match.

And she never made stripes looks so good. Charlize Theron (with Sean Penn) stunned in a black and white Dior gown and jacket overthrow.

Worst Dressed

Editor in chief of Vogue, Anna Wintour, 64, graced the gala with her powerful presence in a patterned number. But many are not so sure why she chose this look.

Kristen Stewart was a unique feathery, lacy, bejeweled concoction in Chanel.

Maggie Gyllenhaal draped herself in Valentino, channeling a hippie from the 60's somewhere.

Kate Upton had cleavage to spare in a black Dolce & Gabbana (medieval corset and all!) But what's with that thing on her head? The black floral headdress?

When someone chooses to go to outer space, as Kirsten Dunst did, you need to be sure to get all the pieces right. All hail Star Wars in this Rodarte creation, because there literally is a death star on her dress.

Anyone miss that canary yellow on Katie Holmes? Impossible, she was probably the brightest one at the ball in this Disney princess dress. Or perhaps we should call her the Belle of the ball from Disney's Beauty and the Beast?

Toss Up

Lupita Nyong'o probably wore the most unique dress and headband. Only this Kenyan beauty could pull off a green feather and bead flapper dress by Prada. She's a frequent on fashion royalty lists, but this is something else... Still, there's a reason why she's People's Most Beautiful.

Sarah Jessica Parker took a turn for the dramatic in an Oscar de la Renta princess dress. It might work as a debutante gown...except for the designer's signature at the back. Now it looks like we're products and we're confused.

Looks like Rita Ora just stepped out of ballet rehearsal, or perhaps her wedding rehearsal with this Donna Karan Atelier sequined sillk and tulle gown. It might work with less stuff. So what's with the arm band?
