The Dream, the producer behind Beyonce's hit-song, Single Ladies, turned himself into NYPD Wednesday on felony charges of assault and strangulation, after allegedly attacking his ex-girlfriend, Lydia Nam.

According to TMZ, the producer, whose real name is Terius Nash has been wanted by authorities for questioning in connection to a April 2013 incident that Nam reported. The alleged incident occurred at The Plaza Hotel, about their months before Lam gave birth to their son-- accusing him of punching, kicking and choking her. She didn't file a police report until seven months later in November 2013 for reasons unknown.

A NYPD rep confirmed to Rolling Stone that The Dream was also booked for three misdemeanors--assault, acting in a manner injurious to a child and reckless endangerment.

"Dream voluntarily surrendered to the Midtown North Precinct this morning in order to responsibly address the false allegations filed against him by Lydia Nam," a rep for the producer said in a statement. "He is innocent of the charges filed against him today, and we are confident that when this case is concluded and all the evidence has been reviewed, it will be clear that he is innocent."

The Dream previously denied the allegations and sources close to the situation said that Nam is not telling the truth, as she is using the incident as a way to extend her visa in the United States. Nam is Canadian.

Prior to the recent accusations, The Dream was already arrested in connection with another separate domestic violence incident last June in Newport Beach.
