The first look at new dinobots Sludge and Snarl in Transformers 4: Age of Extinction was revealed on May 9.

The images of new dinobot characters were published on Transformers.com and the prehistroric bots befit their names Sludge and Snarl, as they look strikingly menacing. They adorn massive spikes with their reptilian textures defined by the metal scraps that construct them.

These two characters will join the dinobot crew which features Strafe, Slug, Scorn and Slash.

New Movie Poster Featuring Optimus Prime Riding Grimlock Revealed 

The images for the figures of the dinobots Slug, Scorn, Strafe and Slash were revealed on March 25. The first official teaser of the film also featured Grimlock, with Optimus Prime astride him but it was in the first full-length trailer that fans got to see some real dinobot action, with Optimus Prime battling the massive prehistoric monster. All four dinobots will be joining Grimlock according to a report.

Before the teasers were released there was heavy speculation about the inclusion of dinobots in the film.

Michael Bay 'Freaked' Looking At Mark Wahlberg's Physique Before Filming?  

When director Michael Bay wrapped shooting the film in Hong Kong, which will comprise of about 30 minutes of the entire duration of the film, he  said he shot a crucial turning point of the movie at the Wulong Karst National Geology Park. Bay released photos from the filming in Wulong Karst and in the respective scene a group of Transformers will reportedly meet another group of transformers to battle their way out of a crater that was created by a crashed starship.

That's when some publications speculated that the "other group of Transformers" would actually be the Dinobots.

Transformers: Age of Extinction will hit theaters on June 27, 2014.
