Once Upon a Time fans witnessed the evil Zelena / Wicked Witch (Rebecca Mader) die on the latest episode of the series, but could she still return for the final two episodes Sunday?

Once Upon a Time co-creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz recently spoke with TVGuide.com about the upcoming season 3 finale of the show. When asked about Zelena and her possible survival, Kitsis was coy.

"She was definitely defeated. It definitely looks as if she's dead and she will not really be in the finale. That being said, we didn't find a body, so we'll see whether or not she can resurface in the future," he teased.

However, ABC may have spoiled that Zelena will indeed be in the two-hour finale in a new press release. Under the guest cast for the first episode of the night, Snow Drifts, it says that Mader will be appearing as Zelena.

While this does not necessarily mean she's back to life, it does reveal that she will at least be back in some capacity, such as a flashback scene.

In other Once Upon a Time news, ABC has renewed the series for season 4, so fans will not have to worry when the finale inevitably ends on a cliffhanger.

"We're definitely setting up the area into which we are going next year," Kitsis revealed to TVGuide.com. "You will know what we are planning to do at the end of these two hours."

The Once Upon a Time season 3 finale airs Sunday at 8 p.m. on ABC.
