Adam Driver's Character Revealed?

On Wednesday, Metro posted the news from Oscar Isaac, who will be playing an unknown 'major' character at this point. The actor mentioned that Star Wars was a big part of his life when he was younger.

"I was a huge Star Wars fan growing up -- my family collects the toys, and we had Star Wars parties where everyone would dress up as their favorite character," Isaac said.

Episode VII Will Be Explored 'In Deeper Ways?'

"I came as a Gonk droid, but that was less about imagination and more about laziness, like, 'Damnit, I forgot to get a costume, just give me a cardboard box and I'll paint it grey!'" he added.

The actor mentioned that he had known for a while that he was cast in the seventh film, which was hard having to keep it a secret.

"There was about a month where I already knew that I'd been cast, before the announcement, so it was tough to keep it under wraps," Isaac said. "But you know, secrets can be fun."

The actor kept it coy on who his character is while giving a small hint that he'll play someone who's enthusiastic.

"J.J. [Abrams] and I have just been a lot about the character- his enthusiasm and his collaborative nature are so refreshing in a movie of this size," he said.

Star Wars: Episode VII is expected to hit theaters on December 18, 2015.
