After the storm that was Wine-Gate raged on, housewife Ramona Singer, 56, has finally found it in her heart to offer a more genuine apology. Wine-Gate (or as Kristen Taekman, 37, would say, Lipgate), is the incident of Singer throwing first wine, then a wine glass at Taekman's face after being splashed with water in the Berkshires. Taekman got a bloody lip. Fans everywhere demanded that Singer be punished or fired for her behavior. Some even called for legal action. Singer at first offered a hollow apology via twitter, but has since upped her game.

Ramona Singer 'Drew My Blood!'

The First Apology

"I am beyond embarrassed when i had a knee jerk reaction by tossing the PLASTIC glass @KristenTaekman when she got me soaking wet #RHONY," Singer tweeted.

Fans everywhere felt this apology lacked humility as it emphasized that Taekman made her "soaking wet" and the cup was "PLASTIC." When Andy Cohen re-tweeted her post, some accused him of taking Singer's side. Taekman was appalled by the elder woman's behavior.

On her Bravo blog: "IT IS NOT OK TO THROW A GLASS AT ANYONE!!! SHE DREW BLOOD, MY BLOOD FOR GOD'S SAKE!!! I didn't even realize that I was bleeding..."

The Second Apology

Then regret seeps in.

"What happened was very unladylike," Singer said on Watch What Happens Live."I shouldn't have done it. It doesn't matter what someone does to you, you shouldn't throw anything at anybody, it could just be a cotton ball. I was embarrassed by it, I apologized to her later when she was more receptive to it. I'm owning it, I'm not perfect, and I'm not going to make excuses for it," reported Buddy TV on Wednesday May 14.

In her Bravo blog, she gives a more detailed reasoning behind her frame of mind at the time. Initially, Singer did not want to go to the Berkshires because it dredged up dark memories of her troubled childhood. Canoeing on the lake with the other ladies changed her mood.

"I was actually feeling happy that I came. When Kristen splashed me, it did not feel playful. I reacted by throwing the plastic glass. Never in a million years did I expect it to hit her body -- let alone her face."

Singer completely owns her mistakes.

"But the bottom line is, I should have never thrown it... After this incident happened I was shocked and in disbelief at my own behavior. The last time I threw something was at my father as a teenager."

As for her earlier non-apology, Singer explains that too:

"When we got back to Heather's house I could feel Kristen was not going to accept my apology," Singer shared. "So, as a defense mechanism I gave her a back-handed apology. Or maybe I was just so embarrassed about what happened that I did not know how to even begin to address it."

With the cat finally in the bag, is Wine-Gate officially over now?
