Once Upon a Time fans hoping for a continued reconciliation for Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Regina (Lana Parrilla) will likely be a little disappointed by Season 4.

Regina & Robin Hood's Relationship Explored Further In Season 4?

Morrison spoke with TVLine recently, responding to a reader question about the status of Emma and Regina's relationship. After Emma brought Maid Marian (Christie Laing) to the present, allowing her to reunite with Robin Hood (Sean Maguire), Regina's dream of true love was crushed yet again. Regina was obviously bitter about this turn of events, and fans should expect that to carry over to Season 4.

"It makes sense that we're going back to a place where these two women are going to be adversaries." Morrison said.

Kristen Bell As Anna From Frozen To Appear In Season 4?

She also admitted that Emma never would have intentionally hurt Regina, despite these consequences.

"Emma definitely wants Regina to be with Robin, and she never would have intentionally done anything to hurt that," she explained. "But she'd also never let someone die in the circumstance that [Marian] was in. So it's one of those situations where doing the right thing is going to have terrible repercussions. But I think it's good for the show. We should have conflict between Regina and Emma, because that's where the show got its feet in the first place."

Emma and the gang may also have to deal with another possible threat in Season 4 - the now iconic Elsa of Frozen. While she may not be the next "Big Bad" villain, the ominous music presented in the Season 3 finale suggests that there's some big conflict ahead.

Once Upon a Time returns for Season 4 in fall 2014 on ABC. The network has not yet announced a specific premiere date, but it will be returning to its regular Sundays at 8 p.m. timeslot.
