As Criminal Minds wrapped with its phenomenal season 9 finale on May 14, the show's success is back in focus, as the ratings were assessed to reveal that the CBS show is still in the lead.

Reid Set To Return While Blake Makes His Exit In Season 10?

A May 15 Entertainment Weekly report revealed that Criminal Minds is still going strong after all these years. The show which doesn't even get as much media attention anymore still rules the roost. The publication compared the number of viewers the show's finale drew when compared with other shows, and it emerged on top with a whopping 11,962,000, making it the most-watched show compared with Modern Family and Nashville. The show also left other show's of its pedigree like Law and Order SVU and CSI behind.

A lot of hints are being picked up from the season ending and the latest rumors suggest that Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) will be coming back for the next season while Blake (Jeanna Tripplehorn) might be on his way out.

Season 9 Finale Will 'Leave Everyone Slack Jawed' 

Recently A.J. Cook, who portrays Jenniffer "JJ" Jareau, spoke about how the finale of season 9 "would directly impact season 10."

The second part of the finale, Demons, aired on Wednesday, May 14 on CBS at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
