After weeks of competition and intense preparation, the three finalists for season 6 were Christina Grimmie of Team Adam Levine, Kaufman of Team Usher, and Jack Worthington of Team Blake Shelton. Grimmie came in third while Worthington landed second place.

For their finale performances, contestants had to impress the nation with three different songs - a reprise of an earlier performance, a duet with their coach, and a new solo song. Fans of Worthington and Grimmie quickly jumped on iTunes to snatch up their latest recordings - a buying frenzy that multiplies both contestants' votes by five. Worthington's renditions of Bob McDill's Don't Close Your Eyes, Hank Williams Jr.'s A Countryy Boy Can Survive, and Richard Marx's Right Here Waiting rocked into the iTunes Top 10, as did Grimmie's versions of Gotye's Somebody That I Used to Know and Elvis' Can't Help Falling in Love.

Kaufman, however, managed to win the entire competition without an iTunes bonus on the finale night. Although fans didn't want to purchase the singer's versions of Stevie Wonder's Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours, The Police's Every Breath You Take, and Adele's Set Fire to the Rain, they did hop online to vote for him.

This win marks the first for any coach besides Levine and Shelton, giving the Voice a fresh feeling as the NBC series closes the book on its sixth season.
