Twilight star Robert Pattinson has become one of the most talked about celebrities ever since his breakup with co-star Kristen Stewart, and it looks like he's trying to pull out of the spotlight.

On Wednesday, Chron reported that the actor does not want to be consistently rumored about, so he's going to try to avoid being photographed.

"I'm just trying to not be in stupid gossip magazines, basically, and I think the best way to do it is never be photographed, ever," he said. "As I get older, I just get more and more and more self-conscious about getting photographed. I don't know why. I've done it too many times, and now I feel like everyone can see through me."

Pattinson also discussed his choices in films and how he's unaware of who his audience is.

"It takes so much responsibility off you," he said. "I don't like the idea of trying to make movies as, like, a vehicle. Also, I don't really know who my audience is. I don't know if I have an audience. Outside of Twilight, I don't know."

The actor has been rumored to be dating several different women at different times, one of them including pop star Katy Perry. Despite any reports on their relationship, a source told Hollywood Life that there was nothing suspicious going on between the two.

"They are not an item, were never an item and will never be an item," the insider said. "Friend zone is the only zone they are in."
