After a season of harsh words and hard feelings, Dean's (Jensen Ackles) death at the hands of Metatron (Curtis Armstrong) appears to have thawed the Winchesters' relationship. Now that Sam (Jared Padalecki) has realized he would, in fact, do anything to save his older brother, Padalecki is hoping that the pair will have less rocky season 10.

"I hope so. I hope so," Padalecki told TV Line. "You see in the finale a lot of what makes Sam and Dean 'Sam and Dean.' There's a lot of that brotherly love that the show is based on. So hopefully next season we bounce off of that."

Although Sam stepped up to help Dean in his time of need, the latter's little demon problem could tear down their wobbly foundation. However, it could also mean that Sammy will be more driven than ever to save the only other member of his family and perhaps the intrepid researcher will be able to track down Cain and uncover a cure.

Supernatural will return to The CW next fall.
