Tony beat Woo Hwang 8-1 in the final jury vote, making the police officer another winner to win in a landslide vote. This also marks the third male winner in a row after John Cochran in Survivor: Caramoan and Tyson Apostol in Survivor: Blood vs. Water.

Over Survivor's 14 years on the air, it has seen a great diversity of winners, including two African Americans in Vecepia Towery (Marquesas) and Earl Cole (Fiji), one Asian-American Yul Kwon (Cook Islands), one Latina Sandra Diaz-Twine (Pearl Islands and Heroes vs. Villains) and two openly gay contestants Richard Hatch (Borneo) and Todd Herzog (China).

As for gender, there have been 16 male winners and 11 female winners (with Sandra winning twice).

There have only been three winners that have won in pure, landslide victories: Earl in Fiji, J.T. in Tocantins and Cochran in Caramoan.

Survivor: San Juan del Sur premieres in fall 2014 on CBS, though the network has not yet announced a specific premiere date. The series will continue airing Wednesdays at 8 p.m.
