As Criminal Minds just wrapped the finale of season 9, the producer of the show Erica Messner spoke about the next season in a recent interview.

Early Renewal For Season 10 To Push Release Date?

It seems like Jane Lynch is set to return on the show, if Messer's interview with TVGuide is anything to go by. Lynch recently made a guest appearence as Reid's (Matthew Gray Gubler) mom on the show and it seems like Messer wants her back for the next season.

"I really want to get Jane back again," she said. "This will be interesting to see how we pull that off and if it's right away. Because Glee's in its final season, maybe it's something we can't get to until later in the year.

And now that Jeanne Tripplehorn, who portrayed Dr. Alex Blake, has left the show, the team is down to six members and many are left wondering if the producers are on the hunt for a replacement. While Messer didn't state it in any certain terms it seems like they are inclined to moving on with the six members that are left on the show.

"Not really. We're sort of like, "Let Season 9 end for real and for the world to see it" right now," she said. "And then after the summer break, we can all talk about that and what it might be and the wish list and all that. Or maybe the show will continue on with six members. That is a big discussion with a lot of people that we'll have soon.

The second and final part of the finale, Demons, aired on Wednesday, May 14 on CBS at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
