After new rumors that The Joker might be featured in Man of Steel 2, a.k.a. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, one actor has thrown himself in the ring as possibly portraying the evil character.

Cyborg Appearing Alongside Batman, Superman & Wonder Woman?

Batman v Superman cinematographer Larry Fong recently posted a photo on Instagram of a playing card sticking out of some concrete, a popular symbol of The Joker. With speculation running wild, actor Adrien Brody has expressed his interest in possibly portraying the iconic Batman villain.

"I would do it if I feel I can contribute something valuable and that the role would be interesting to me because they're long journeys," Brody explained to Metro at the Cannes Film Festival recently. "To me, the villains are way fun! But they don't offer me those roles. If there is an opportunity to do something like that and play a comic book hero or villain, that's not something I'm fundamentally opposed to."

Ben Affleck Batsuit Actually Blue & Gray Rather Than All-Black?

Other than Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg), no other villains have been officially confirmed for Batman v Superman. However, it is always possible that D.C. will present yet another incarnation of The Joker either in Batman v Superman or the Justice League movie, which is set for 2018.

Production is currently underway on Batman v Superman, with Ben Affleck (Batman), Henry Cavill (Superman), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) and the film's other stars gathering in Michigan for the blockbuster.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled for release in theaters on May 6, 2016.
