While the bunch of characters that featured on the list, which came out on May 19, could serve to offer fodder for speculative twists in the plot, what is more important to note is that the release stated that the actors needed to make themselves available from June 12 to July 15.

The characters feature an ER doctor, photographer, senators, reporters, the director of the NSA and a certain Detective Smith. Earlier this year, Media Rights Capital, the producers of the Netflix series were facing trouble getting permission to shoot in Maryland. But they finally struck a deal with the state government but the show might have to take a minor financial hit.

The small chink in the plan relates to the show getting lesser tax credits. MRC will receive only $11.5 million in tax credits in 2014 and that is reportedly lesser money than the show was hoping to receive.

The first and second seasons were also shot in Maryland.
