Pop star Katy Perry has graced the cover of Cosmopolitan's July issue where more details of her personal life were reportedly revealed, including her ex-boyfriend John Mayer.

On Wednesday, Hollywood Life posted little details from the Birthday singer's interview where she apparently said something about Mayer, which ought to bring good news for the fans.

"There's no bad blood, but I'm sure there will be inspired songs," Perry said.

The issue may have more details on the split, but for now, it looks like the singer will have a future of thinking about Mayer if she plans to use him in her music.

The pop star poses on the magazine cover in a tight sequined dress that ranges from green, blue and red. Her hair appears to be a blend of dark blue and green as her dress has two holes, exposing part of her chest.

The "Roar" star has reportedly spent a lot of her time focusing on making herself into a new person based on her recent interview with Yorkshire Post.

"Right now I'm going through my storage units that houses all of my clothes and costumes," Perry said. "I'm having a lot of flashbacks figuring out what do I give away, what do I keep and working out whether any of those outfits hold strong memories."

She then mentioned that her music mostly comes from what she's been through.

"I think people relate to the vulnerability and honesty I try to bring into the songs, but some aren't that deep - some are just for going out, getting ready and putting make-up on."
