Boardwalk Empire enters it's fifth and final season on HBO this fall, and if the first few seasons were any indication, the show is likely to go out with a bang. Literally.

More Season 5 Spoilers

The latest actor to book a reoccurring role on the show is 22-year-old Travis Trope. The young actor has had recent luck in Hollywood, working alongside big names like Adam Sandler and Chloe Grace Mortez on two separate projects this year alone.

Boardwalk Empire Season 4 Deaths

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tope will be playing Slim, a kid who comes into town and to work for the notoriously dishonest and unreliable Mickey Doyle, played slyly and effortlessly by Paul Sparks (Mud, Mildred Pierce). Mickey is known for changing loyalties whenever it suits him, and it is more than likely that Tope's new character will find himself in the middle of it.

Ambitious young men don't last long in Atlantic City. Series star Jimmy Darmody (Michael Pitt) was killed off in the season two finale and fan favorite John Harrow (Jack Huston) met his end in the last episode of season four.

Could Slim find himself staring down the barrel of a gun? Or will he be the one pulling the trigger? Anything can happen in a series' last season, as HBO viewers found out for shows like The Sopranos and Big Love, which ended with more than a few surprises.

The cast of Boardwalk Empire has found much success both on and off the show. Steven Buscemi (Reservoir Dogs, Interview), who stars on the show as Enoch Thompson, has been nominated for a number of awards for the role, while other actors have gone on to work in big pictures like American Hustle and The Wolf of Wall Street.

The final season of Boardwalk Empire is scheduled to return to HBO in September.
