Pop star Katy Perry reportedly ended her relationship with John Mayer a while ago, and now she might be setting her sights towards a celebrity of royalty.

On Saturday, Huffington Post published a story from British newspaper Daily Star that mentioned the details. Apparently, the Birthday singer might have a crush on Prince Harry.

"Katy has always had a thing for Prince Harry," a source allegedly told the magazine.

"So she decided to be cheeky and invite him to spend American Independence Day with her and friend in July," the source added.

Rumor has it that Perry did not ask out the prince, herself. Instead the site says that she had a friend help her get the message to him.

"The message was sent through a mutual pal, and was very casual," the source said. "Katy didn't want it to look like she was asking him on a date."

"But she has always had a thing for English gentlemen..." the source continued.

There was a report from The Independent that the pop star was taking anxiety medication to help her went she goes on stage to perform.

"I have to take beta blockbusters [before each show], I get so nervous," Perry said.

"I [think] that I have to get through this; I can't let these people down, but mostly I can't let myself down," she continued. "I've been given a great opportunity and there are 500 b----- behind me who will snatch my weave off my head if I don't kick-ball-change through this two-hour show."
