Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert were country stars before they ever got together. Married for three years now, Lambert admits it is still strange being married to another creative-type. They try to support one another's creativity and the right to be true to who they are both as people and performers.

The two have performed together both on Shelton's musical special Blake Shelton's Not So Family Christmas and at The Country Music Awards, where they met, but there is still that element of diversity between them. The couple also decided to write together, combing their efforts to pen te deeply personal Over You, which appeared on Lambert's 2011 album, For the Record.

"Blake and I always talk about each others singles and he says I can't pick your singles," said Lambert about her new single Automatic in a May interview, "And I say the same thing."

Lambert went on to discuss the strangeness of the relationship in regards to being musicians. "It's so weird to be married to an artist," explained Lambert, "because our teams and our styles and everything we do is done so different, but they both work."

The success of both Shelton and Lambert seems to indicate that Lambert is right. Their styles are different, but it does not stop the couple from helping and encouraging each other in their professional, as well as personal, lives.

The single Automatic is from Lambert's new album, Platinum. The album, which is the singer's fifth, which will be released, June 3.
