Pretty Little Liars' Alison DiLaurentis is finally returning to Rosewood, but the answers she seeks may already be six feet under. Oddly enough, that may be good news for the young Liar.

Ali Comes Face-To-Face With 'A' On 'Pretty Little Liars', What Details Will She Learn

Alison shocked her friends when she popped up alive and well during season 3 and her long list of surprising revelations has helped to reignite that Liars investigations. Unfortunately, one of the people Ali would like to speak to the most has bit the dust.

The fact that Ali won't be able to get the answers she is looking for may upset her far more than the death of her mother.

"I think she's going to be upset," explained executive producer Joseph Dougherty, according to E!. "She made up her mind and was going to go back and get some answers, and if this person is not there, she's not going to get the answers she wanted to get. There are as many unanswered questions in that town for Ali as there are for those other girls."

The Little Liars will return to Rosewood during the season 5 premiere, "EscApe from New York," the high schoolers won't truly settle back in until episode 2. Titled "Whirly Girl," the second episode will see Alison have to deal with living back home with her suspicious family (see photos above).

Pretty Little Liars will return to ABC Family on June 10.
