Jason Aldean and Brittany Kerr made their red carpet debut last night at the CMT Music Awards, months after becoming a real couple.

The two revealed they were officially dating in March 2014 after Aldean filed for divorce from his wife, Jessica Ussery. The ex-couple have two kids together and were married in 2001.

"This is a really tough time for my entire family. Jessica and I have been together since we were teenagers," Aldean said at the time. "We've been through a lot of ups and downs over the years as we grew up together as a couple. She will always be important to me because she is the mother of my children, and I know that we will both always make our daughters our #1 priority."

How Brittany Kerr And Jason Aldean Got Started

Aldean and former American Idol singer Kerr were famously seen kissing in September 2012 while Aldean was still married. Photographed at The Den in California together, they were also seen holding hands. In October 2012, Aldean issued an apology for his actions with Kerr.

"The truth is that I screwed up. I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar," Aldean said about his public kiss. "I left alone, caught the bus to our next show and that's the end of the story."

"I ultimately ended up embarrassing my family and myself. I'm not perfect, and I'm sorry for disappointing you guys," the country singer said. "I really appreciate being able to work through this privately with my family and for all your continued support."

Aldean and his wife couldn't make it work. Aldean and Kerr eventually got together for real.

At June 4's Nashville ceremony, Kerr supported her man in a white, tight dress and stiletto pumps. Aldean was on hand to present with Brooklyn Decker.
