Some new details have been released on the next season premiere of Downton Abbey, including how Anna's going to be dealing with her horrific assault.

Series To 'Become A Different Place?'

On Thursday, CarterMatt posted the information from actress Joanne Froggatt, who mentioned a couple brief yet insightful moments that are about to take place. Anna may be in the process of shaping up her life, but there will likely be some scary challenges coming her way.

"We start Season 5 with Anna Bates in a slightly more positive place," Froggatt said. "The season finale was a year on from the attack. Time has moved forward...but there is still this shadow hanging over them, so they still have more hurdle to cross, unfortunately."

Anna won't be the only one with a shadow hanging over her. According to Unreality Primetime, there should be an answer coming along on why Thomas has been blackmailing Baxter. Robert James Collier, who plays Thomas, mentioned that the story between his character and Baxter should all start to make sense once the next season starts.

"[Baxter] was supposed to be the new O'Brien and report back to him all the gossip and scandal, so he could use it for his own ends," Collier said. "Along the way, with her own guilt, she starts to resist. We see that play out in this series that we're filming at the moment, what that hold is he has over her."

Downton Abbey Season 5 is expected to premiere in January 2015 on PBS.
