Bravo's the Real Housewives of New York is currently under fire, as it is being deemed racist for its portrayal of Jewish women. The Jewish Journal blogger Ilana Angel has lashed out at the network for its portrayal of Jewish women on the show, particularly former co-star Jill Zarin and current one Aviva Drescher.

The Real Housewives Of New York Getting Canceled Because Of Low Ratings?

In her blog post, Angel says that she feels "disgusted" by the way Drescher acts on the show and is particularly bothered by her relationship with her father George on camera. Angel says that she finds it a pity that all of the "crazy" ones on the show happen to be Jewish.

"It is a shame that once again the most disliked woman on this show is a Jew," Angel writes on her blog. "Much like Jill Zarin before her, people started off liking her, then she became toxic and idiotic, and there was no longer anything left to like about her."

Angel also says that Drescher goes out of her way to "make a fool at of herself" during each episode and that she is neither good television or a particularly "nice woman" yet is kept on the show for ratings.

"I am offended by Aviva Drescher and her father George," she said. "It is ridiculous that these two are featured as socially and financially enviable Jews of NYC."

Angel adds that Bravo should reconsider casting more respectable women on the show for the Real Housewives of New York's next season.

"Why is it when it comes to NYC, a city with so many fabulous Jewish women, are the crazy ones always Jewish?" Angel wrote. "Aviva is disgusting on this show. Her father, who is often featured, is a sexual deviant who is offensive to women and should never have been given this forum."

The Real Housewives of New York airs every Sunday at 9 p.m. EST/PST on Bravo.
