Twilight star Jackson Rathbone and girlfriend Sheila Hafsadi have welcomed their first child together, a baby boy, into the world today.

The couple named their first child Monroe Jackson Rathbone VI, after the five generations before him. The couple's new addition was born at 9:43 a.m. this morning and weighed 8 pounds, 11 ounces, according to US Weekly.

Back in March, Rathbone said in an interview with US Weekly that he was "very excited to be a dad," and now the time has come. The actor-musician already has his parenting techniques, saying that he will let mommy make most of the decisions. "I believe everything and anything that she wants is the best thing!" he said in the interview. "And yes is always the right answer - that's what my mom taught me!"

Rathbone took to Twitter to break the news and thank everyone for helping him adjust to his new lifestyle.

"Thank you ALL for the love & support! Sheila & I couldn't be happier to have such a beautiful, healthy baby boy, Monroe Jackson Rathbone VI," he tweeted, "Feeling so blessed! What an amazing day! Love and respect, Bone Daddy".

Fans were very supportive and Rathbone showed thanks by retweeting some of their comments on his twitter page @Jackson Rathbone. While the couple hasn't released any pictures of baby Monroe yet, he did post a picture of Jackson Rathbone the IV, celebrating the birth of Jackson Rathbone the VI, with a cigar in his mouth. He then posted a picture of himself smoking a cigar tweeting, "Taking a cue from MJR IV... What a glorious day! Love and respect, Bone Daddy."

They couple plan on having more children, and continuing to expand their family, Rathbone told Eonline.com in an interview. "I've been wanting a kid for a long time," Rathbone admitted. "I'll have more-probably two or three."
