While Evans had her five-year-old son with Andrew Lewis, the Teen Mom 2 star married Courtland Rogers in 2012. They separated in early 2013, and recent reports state that the two are now, officially divorced. The split has been meant with joy by those involved.

Evans announced the divorce via Twitter Tuesday, June 10, stating "I'm very happy and feel so free now."

The star's attorney, Dustin R.T. Sullivan released a statement to E! explaining that "Courtland failed to appear to contest it, so he waived all rights to spousal support or equitable distribution. Jenelle is now looking forward to the birth of her new baby."

Evans and Rogers began struggling with their relationship back in 2012, when Evans filed charges against Roger, who was abusive towards her and her unborn child. This resulted in two years of supervised probation for Rogers.

Evans started out on the second season of the MTV series 16 and Pregnant and later joined the cast of Teen Mom 2, which picked up following her and her former costars as they faced the challenges of parenting.

The divorce opens a new chapter in Evans's life, as she is now able to finally marry Griffith. The two had been wanting to marry for some time, but had put off any formal plans while Evans was still married.

They two are expecting the birth of their son, Kaiser, this year.
