Kerry Washington walked her first red carpet since giving birth almost two months ago and the Scandal actress stunned.

The 37-year-old sported a Sportmax dress with an abstract print and a pair of colorful Christian Louboutin heels as she appeared at the Women in Film 2014 Crystal + Lucy Awards on Thursday in Los Angeles. The star had her hair down with loose waves and wore an eye-catching coral lip color. Washington also received an award for Excellence in Television from Scandal show creator Shonda Rhimes.

Washington, who plays Olivia Pope on the popular ABC show, welcomed her daughter Isabelle Amarachi Asomugha with husband Nnamdi Asomugha on April 21. This is the first child for the couple, who wed in a private ceremony in Blaine County, Idaho in July.

The actress recently had a live chat with The Los Angeles Times and answered a fan question about motherhood. "Now that you're a mom will it be bittersweet to go back to work?" the fan asked.

After calling the question “tricky” because she doesn’t like to speak about her private life, Washington slightly opened up about being a new mom.

"I will say I feel really, really blessed," Washington said. "I just feel really blessed that I'm kind of living extraordinary dreams come true in my work life and in my personal life.”

The Hollywood star also plans to return to work in a few weeks.
