The cast of Homeland is expanding even more ahead of Season 4 as two new recurring roles have been cast.

Saul Allied With Carrie In Middle East In Homeland Season 4?

Roseanne actor Michael O'Keefe has signed on to Homeland Season 4 to play John Redmond, a deputy station chief in Afghanistan, according to a new report by The Hollywood Reporter. The character will end up clashing with Carrie (Claire Danes), who is assuming her new position as Station Chief in Islamabad and Kabul.

Raza Jaffrey (Smash) is also set to recur in the fourth season as Asar Khan, according to the report. Asar Khan is a lieutenant-colonel serving in Pakistani intelligence. It is unknown how he will interact with Carrie or any other characters.

O'Keefe and Jaffrey join a growing list of new actors slated to appear in the fourth season of Homeland. Some of the more notable new cast members include Corey Stoll (House of Cards) and Suraj Sharma (Life of Pi). Stoll is set to play Sandy Bachman, the CIA Chief of Station and the boss of John Redmond.

Sharma will be playing a Pakistani medical student who comes into contact with Carrie.

Actress Laila Robins is set to be a series regular on the new season, portraying Martha Boyd, the U.S. Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Homeland Season 4 premieres in fall 2014 on Showtime, though the network has not yet announced a specific premiere date. However, it will likely return in September in its regular Sundays at 9 p.m. timeslot.
