While it is no secret that Boy Meets World cast members have an open invitation to appear on the new Disney Channel spinoff Girl Meets World, fans have been wondering who will be taking creator Michael Jacobs up on the offer.

Girl Meets World Bridging The Gap Between Old And New Audiences?

Ryder Strong and William Daniels are already set to make appearances as Cory's (Ben Savage) best friend Shawn Hunter and former teacher, Mr. Feeney, but who else will return?

It seems there is a reason the new character of Farkle, who attends class with Cory's daughter, seems so similar to the ever-irritating Minkus (Lee Norris) from the original series. E! recently announced that Norris is set to return as Minus on the show, who is none other than Farkle's father.

Girl Meets World Aims To Match Wit Of Boy Meets World?

Reports insist that Minkus will not be seen right away, but he will turn up eventually. Savage, Strong, and Norris are set to appear in a scene together later in the show's first season.

Boy Meets World ran on ABC primetime for seven seasons from September 1993 until May 2000. It followed Cory Matthews, Shawn Hunter, and Topanga Lawrence (Danielle Fishel) from a couple of neighborhood kids all the way through college. It touched on the themes of friendship, first love, heartbreak, and even social inequality.

While some fans are concerned that the change in network will result in a change in tone from the original to the spin-off, they were just have to wait and see how the new show turns out.

Girl Meets World will premiere on the Disney Channel June 27, 2014.
