Nick is officially involved in Dov and Chloe's very complicated love story for the ABC series.

Fans Upset After Duncan Comes After Andy?

After Andy awkwardly chose Sam over Nick, it only makes sense for him to find a distraction in another romantic storyline. And at this point, Dov and Chloe need all the help they can get.

While she was shot in the fourth season finale, she makes a speedy recovery in upcoming episodes, which Dov is obviously happy to hear. But things become super weird when her husband, Wes, shows up, putting Dov in a strange position, so he decides to just keep his distance.

Dov Questions Chloe: 'Who Are You'?

That's when Nick comes in. Chloe can't seem to figure out why Dov won't even touch her, so she enlists the help of Nick for a guy's perspective. Though Nick was only trying to help, it seems to only make things awkward after he becomes the middle man and asks Dov about why he's gone to such desperate measures to hold back when it comes to being intimate with Chloe. However, Nick doesn't want to stay in the middle of it for too long so he brings Chloe and Dov back together to speak to each other.

As for Sam and Andy, they are still claiming to be just friends, which makes fans wonder why she opted for him rather than Nick in the first place. But, viewers rooting for Andy and Nick will be glad to hear that Nick isn't 100 percent out of the picture.

Executive Producer Tassie Cameron said recently, "Are love triangles ever really finished? I'm not sure yet how we're going to structure it...It's really clear to us and to Nick, even if it's not clear to her yet, that there's a lot of unfinished business with that relationship [with Sam]...We were exploring, as writers, whether it's true: Can you have loved somebody like Sam and then fall in love with a different kind of person? If so, what does it look like?"

Rookie Blue's fifth season premieres on ABC June 19 at 9/8c.
