Is jail time in the future for Justin Bieber? According to TMZ.com, the teen heartthrob was caught speeding on the 101 freeway in L.A. Allegedly, he was going so fast that someone had to call the police on him. Unfortunately for him, the call was made by an L.A. City Councilman named Dennis Zine. The speed caught the councilman's eye because he was a former LAPD motor office for 18 years, according to TMZ's website.  Justin was said to be driving his chrome Fisher Karma doing more than 100 mph. The councilman said the singer was trying to get away from paparazzi that had been chasing him. However, Zine was not impressed insisting that if it was up to him, Bieber would have been in jail.

"Bieber was driving like a maniac," Zine told TMZ. "He was weaving in and out of traffic.  There was hardly any space between cars as he weaved from lane to lane. If I was on patrol, I would have arrested him for reckless driving.  I was going 60 and he drove by me like he was in a rocket ship.  He was a maniac."

However, Zine was sure not to put all the blame on the "Never Say Never" star, suggestion that the paparazzi should be more responsible when trying to do their job. He claims that they were just as reckless as he was, driving on the shoulder of the road and making dangerous driving condition.

Once Bieber was pulled over he was bombarded with paparazzi.

Bieber's management team released a statements right away. Scooter Braun, Bieber's manager told TMZ, Zine "is just a councilman looking for a headline."  According to his manager, Justin was clocked in at doing 80 mph verses the 100 mph Zone accused him of. After receiving his tickets, the paparazzi went back to their typical behavior and continued their pursuit, but this time, Justin called 911on them.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that the CHP is investigating the paparazzi for their reckless driving as well.
