As filming for the last leg of Fast and Furious 7 is currently underway in Los Angeles, director James Wan revealed a new picture from the set on June 13.

Vin Diesel's New Ride In Action Thriller Revealed?

The director posted the picture on Instagram showing the entire crew in the Universal Studios backlot shooting a scene and captioned it thus:

"Filming under a full moon (in the distance) on the night of Friday the 13th. This is the kind of setting I'm familiar with. #Universalbacklot #FF7."

This is Wan's first big budget film, prior to this director was best-known for having worked on indie horror films, like the Insidious franchise and The Conjuring, which did tremendously well. This explains Wan's references to horror films and calling it the "kind of setting he is familiar with"

In fact as Wan is busy with Fast and Furious 7, the third chapter of Insidious is being directed by the writer of the first two, Leigh Whannell.

It seems like Vin Diesel, who plays Dominic Toretto, is in the shot, he is seen kneeling down with a blue screen in the backdrop.

Fast and Furious 7 will take off from where Fast and Furious 6 left off. Wan took over the director's role from Justin Lin, who announced earlier in last year that he will step away from directing the franchise.

The cast for the seventh installment reprising their roles include Diesel, Luke Evans, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris and Jordana Brewster. UFC Womens Bantam weight champion Ronda Rousey and ONG Bak star Tony Jaa will also star in the film.
