The Hart Dance Team stunned audiences on the latest episode of NBC's America's Got Talent.

Show runners, who recently assisted AGT host Nick Cannon in pranking the show's judges, aided the dance team in their illusion through the careful cutting of footage.

The program started out by interviewing teenagers and best friends Hannah and Savannah, who met in a dance class as children. They briefly discuss their background and friendship, which seems generic enough for a pair of teenage girls. They were both raised in California and met in dance class when they were just six years old.

The interview included a few clips of the girls getting ready to perform before the the pair was led onto the stage. They stood there side by side, each with a microphone, to introduce the act to the judges, promising that they were part of a jazz routine "with a twist."

Sure enough, when the number began, dozens of dancers appeared onstage via a black and white printed box that blended with the performers' costumes and makeup. All of the performers were styled to look exactly the same, with white painted faces and black outlines in head to toe white and black costumes.

The whole effect provided a surreal experience, prompting comedian and judge Howie Mandel to call it a "great visual."

The act easily received the three votes required to send the team into the next round of judging, which is no small feat considering dancers and singers make up a large percentage of those auditioning for the show.

America's Got Talent continues tonight at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.
