Jennifer Lopez's music has always celebrated love - the good, the bad and everything in between - and her tenth studio album A.K.A. is no different.

The 44-year-old sings about falling hard on songs like First Love and I Luh Ya Papi while she focuses on the disappointing side of relationships with Emotions. "I've tried to give you all my time babe, but that never meant a thing to you," she sings on the Chris Brown-penned track.

Musically, Lopez returns to a more urban sound on her first album in three years. She enlisted hip-hop producers DJ Mustard and Detail and collaborated with rappers Nas, T.I. and Iggy Azalea.

Lopez also worked with fellow Bronx native French Montana on Same Girl. The song is her latest attempt to remind listeners that she's that same Jenny from the block regardless of her fame and undeniable success in the industry. This year alone, Lopez was the first woman to receive the Billboard Icon Award, she was an American Idol judge for the third time and was honored by GLAAD for producing ABC's The Fosters.

There aren't any songs that push the limits or showcase a new Lopez on the new album. However, it's clear that the mother of two is having fun with A.K.A. - she pokes fun at her famous butt with the song Booty featuring Pitbull - and she's singing for the fans who have been there since her debut album, On The 6, was released in 1999.

In a recent interview with Sway in the Morning Lopez said, "[My fans] don't see me as this age, or that, or anything, they just see me as J. Lo." And, that's something they'll continue to do with this album.

A.K.A. drops on June 17.
