A new face may be coming to the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. In a new interview with The Los Angeles Times, actor Robert McHalffey revealed that he recently auditioned for Grey's Anatomy.

"They say it takes 10 years to break into this business. I'm not giving up. I had an audition for Grey's Anatomy two months ago. Regardless if I get the part, I was in the room. They know who I am. It's the little victories," the up-and-coming actor told the publication in an article posted on June 13.

McHalffey, 29, was presumably auditioning for a part on Grey's upcoming eleventh season, which the writers and producers are already working on as Shonda Rhimes recently revealed.

"I've had a great day in #GreysAnatomy writers' room today!" the executive producer tweeted in May. "Plus, I got antibiotics for my sinus infection, so I'm on the mend! Yay, medicine!"

Next season of Grey's Anatomy will also see the return of Chandra Wilson (Miranda Bailey), Justin Chambers (Alex Karev), James Pickens Jr. (Dr. Richard Webber) and Sara Ramirez (Callie Torres).

New TV Shows Coming This Fall 

The four actors signed a two-year extension, according to TVGuide.com in May. They will once again join Ellen Pompeo, who plays Meredith Grey, and Patrick Dempsey, aka Derek Shepherd, both of whom renewed their season 11 and 12 contracts back in January.

Season 11 of Grey's Anatomy will premiere in the fall on ABC.
