The big Heroes reboot titled Heroes Reborn has added a fan favorite character from the original NBC series.

Hayden Panettiere's Baby Bump Will Be Written Into Nashville

Jack Coleman, who played Noah Bennett, a.k.a. HRG, a.k.a. Horn-Rimmed Glasses, will be returning for Heroes Reborn, according to the show's official Twitter account this week.

"He's back," the Heroes Reborn Twitter account tweeted Monday, with a complimentary photo of Coleman with the phrase, "HRG Returns."

This is the first cast member from Heroes to sign on for the reboot miniseries. Many of the show's cast members have gone on to have success careers in film and/or television.

Hayden Panettiere, who played "the cheerleader" Claire Bennett in the series, has gone on to star in ABC's Nashville. Zachary Quinto, who played the villainous Sylar, has seen success with starring roles on American Horror Story and the massively successful Star Trek films. Kristen Bell, who played Elle, is still raking in money for lending her voice to the animated movie sensation Frozen.

Panettiere recently said that the original cast did not have anything to do with Heroes Reborn (before the Coleman announcement).

"I mean, we had nothing, nothing to do with it. It will definitely be interesting to see how they reinvent it," she said, saying that she was under the impression that series would feature "a whole new set of characters."

Heroes Reborn is slated to air on NBC in 2015, though the network has not announced a specific premiere date just yet. It will air as a 13-episode standalone miniseries.
