After recent reports suggesting that Vin Diesel was being difficult on the set of Fast and Furious 7, the actor took to his Facebook account on June 17 to vent and express concern about how Paul Walker's character in the movie.

New Casting Call For Filming Final Scenes In Los Angeles?

Recently, inside sources told The Hollywood Reporter that the actor had actually become a problem for production. The report went as far as to suggest that some of the crew wished they could use the CGI face replacement technology they were using to finish Paul Walker's parts for Diesel too.

"Vin spent a whole day in his trailer one day," said the insider. "The next day, they waited four hours for him. He called a meeting [May 28] of studio execs to his trailer for two-and-a-half hours to say, 'What the f- am I doing here?'"

Now we get to hear Diesel's side of the story as he wrote about missing Walker on set and how a pixellated Brian O'Connor will be far from satisfactory.

Diesel expressed distress over the whole idea of using CGI and how the challenge was "to not allow it to compromise" with what makes Walker's character so special.

Here's the entire post:

"There wasn't a scene in the saga he didn't want to discuss, improve... even with just a changing of a line or adding a specific nuance to enrich a moment.

He did it with the pride of knowing, that over a decade of portraying Brian, through four directors, multiple writers and new producers he was able to maintain the inner core of the character he created. Those work ethics and drive to be both truthful, and in his own way, evolve the decade spanning character is what made his character as iconic as it has become.

He always knew I would fight for him... whether it was to protect his deal or to protect his integrity... and he knew that if it made for a better film, I was going to do whatever it took... it is why together, we won best duo... twice, 12 years apart.

With our new ambitious vfx team, the whole cast and crew has had to adjust to this awkward and uncomfortable process of pixels over people. Aside from the obvious strains it places on the director, the challenge is not to allow it to compromise what makes the character so special.

Happy Toretto Tuesday..."

Fast and Furious 7 will take off from where Fast and Furious 6 left off. Wan took over the director's role from Justin Lin, who announced earlier in last year that he will step away from directing the franchise.

The cast for the seventh installment reprising their roles include Diesel, Luke Evans, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris and Jordana Brewster. UFC Womens Bantam weight champion Ronda Rousey and ONG Bak star Tony Jaa will also star in the film.
