The Giudice family faces a tragedy as Teresa's father-in-law has died while Teresa and Joe wait to receive their sentence for fraud charges.
Giudice Family Sticks Together Amid Fraud Trial
Joe's father, Frank Giudice, fell in the Giudice's front yard, Radar Online reported Wednesday night. He was 63-years-old and has made several appearances on Bravo's The Real Housewivs of New Jersey with Teresa, Joe and their four daughters.
The site reports that Teresa was not at home with Frank collapsed. However, Joe was there with their girls, Gia, Audriana, Miliana and Gabriella.
Teresa Giudice Slammed On Twitter For Promoting Event?
A source close to the family said, "Teresa arrived shortly after it happened. He had just collapsed in the yard. They called 9-1-1 but there was basically nothing anyone could do when they got there. This was totally out of the blue."
Despite the tragedy, Teresa was able to look at the positive side.
"Teresa said immediately that she was so glad they got to be with him on Father's Day. They had a big party and he was there and it was a wonderful memory of him."
Wendy Feldman, who has been representing the Giudices during their fraud ordeal confirmed the news on Twitter Wednesday.
She wrote, "Sadly it is true that the father of my client and friend Joe Giudice passed away today @Teresa_Giudice asks for privacy and prayers"
Dina Manzo, Teresa Giudice's friend and The Real Housewives of New Jersey co-star also took to her Twitter to send her condolences.
"Please join me in sending Love & Prayers to the Giudice Family..."
Frank is survived by Filomena Giudice, his wife.
